The nationally ranked Riley Hospital for Children is seeking a patient-focused Developmental/Behavioral Pediatrician to collaborate with our highly skilled teams in a primarily outpatient setting.  Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health has the expertise, experience and resources to care for infants and children with neurodevelopmental disabilities, including those who may have co-occurring behavioral or emotional concerns. Our child developmental and developmental pediatrics teams work together to build collaborative and specialized services to improve access and overall quality of care for our patients.  Our specially trained professionals help families understand their child's health condition and develop personalized treatment plans to ensure each child receives the care he or she needs.

The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health is expanding to add a general pediatrician to the Weight Management Program.  We are seeking a board certified pediatrician for a clinical track position.  The division has 16 gastroenterologists, 1 nurse practitioner, 3 pediatric psychologists, and many supportive GI dieticians and nurses.  The gastroenterologists see patients at Riley Hospital in Indianapolis, IU North Hospital, and satellite locations around the state.  The weight management program is located at the downtown Indianapolis hospital.  The Department of Pediatrics and Division of Gastroenterology support a mission of excellent patient care, education and research.  

Key Responsibilities and Program Details:

  • We are the only comprehensive, multidisciplinary weight management program in Indiana.  We serve a diverse patient population across the state. 
  • The program consists of a pediatric gastroenterologist, general pediatrician, two pediatric psychologists, and two registered dietitians.  We are adding additional team members, including social work and care coordination in the next few weeks to provide more inclusive care for patients.
  • We educate pediatric residents on how to educate and treat children with obesity to lead healthy lifestyles.
  • We participate in the national Pediatric Obesity Weight Evaluation Registry (POWER).  There will be dedicated time for education and scholarly work.
  • The weight management team is collegial, supportive, and passionate about their patients and careers.

IU Health Physicians is looking for a Pediatric Hematologist with a special focus on benign hematology, bleeding and clotting disorders, hemophilia to join the highly-skilled, dynamic team at the nationally-ranked Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Riley Hospital for Children is the only nationally ranked pediatric hematology/oncology program in the state of Indiana with the only pediatric stem cell transplant program and the only site offering pediatric CAR T-Cell therapy. The CCBD is affiliated with the IU Health Melvin and Bren Simon Cancer Center, the state's only NCI designated cancer center for clinical care.  Riley at IU Health is a Children's Oncology Group Phase I Consortium member.  Our patients are able to access the latest clinical trials and cutting edge medications all while under the care of highly skilled physicians and staff.  We service the entire state of Indiana as well as bordering regions of Michigan, Illinois, Ohio and Kentucky.  With comprehensive interdisciplinary disease-focused teams, doctors and staff treat more than 80% of children and adolescents diagnosed with cancer in Indiana, with a high volume of outpatient visits focusing on leukemias, solid tumors, brain tumors, hematopoietic/stem cell transplant, general hematology, hemoglobinopathies such as sickle cell disease and thalassemias, bone marrow failure syndromes, hemophilia and other coagulation disorders.

Location: Muncie, IN - Specialty: Pediatric, Hospitalist

IU Health Ball Memorial Physicians is seeking an experienced pediatric hospitalist to join our established team of hospitalists and lead the pediatric hospital medicine program as the Medical Director.  

Key Position Details:

  • Full-time position with standard weekday schedule
    • Call coverage duties include responding to inpatient and admissions for pediatrics from home
  • Clinical pediatrician duties for inpatient hospitalist program
    • 9 pediatric beds, 25 mother/baby beds, does NOT include NICU
    • Procedures include: circumcisions 
  • Medical Directorship for Pediatric Hospitalist program
    • Teaching/educating of residents
    • Change management/process improvement 

Qualifications:

  • Ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years practicing experience (leadership experience is NOT required)
  • Interested candidates should be able to function independently as there is always only one physician on duty at a time
  • Completion of pediatric residency

Location: Avon, IN - Specialty: Pediatric, Hospitalist

Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health and Indiana University School of Medicine are seeking to fill a Pediatric Hospitalist role in our dynamic team within a fast-paced clinical environment with strong focus on quality, innovation, teaching, and scholarly activity.  Serving more than 6,000 patients in 2019, Riley Hospital Medicine is committed to excellence in the care of hospitalized children.  Our team of more than 30 physicians continually strives to improve care through quality improvement, collaboration with inpatient specialists and primary care providers, community outreach, and the education and training of future healthcare providers.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Primarily serving at IU Health West hospital to attend high risk deliveries on a labor and delivery unit with approximately 80-100 total deliveries per month, rounding on normal newborns, and staffing an 8 bed Level II NICU, which serves infants >32 weeks gestational age and >1500 grams at birth
  • Faculty appointment with the Indiana University School of Medicine 
    • Teaching on service (pediatric residents and PHM fellows)
    • Participation in departmental educational endeavors
    • Encouraged to participate in scholarly pursuits
  • Procedures include (but not limited to): circumcision, lumbar puncture
  • Potential future opportunities to cover pediatric and newborn services at Riley Hospital and IU North

Position Details:

  • 12 hour shifts, may be split between days and nights
  • Holidays and weekends are evenly distributed among all faculty 
  • Some opportunities for additional moonlighting 
  • Must live within a 50 mile radius of the hospital
