Position Details:

  • 7 on/14 off schedule (7p-7a) 
  • Schedules provided months in advance, and offer one location per week on. 
  • Key responsibilities include:  Admit to inpatient or appropriate level of care; perform or supervise the performance of patient care services to include history and physical examination, diagnosis, daily patient evaluation, daily progress notes, discharge evaluation, discharge summary, manage transfer calls from outside hospitals and referrals and medically manage for treatment of adolescent and adult patients. 
  • Support hospitalist APP's as needed for questions and unstable patients. 
  • No procedures are required, open and closed ICU depending on the hospital
  • Dual-employment with IUSM, opportunity to experience academic and community (suburb) environments.
  • Faculty position working with and teaching students and Internal Medicine residents

Indiana University hosts the state’s only academic stem cell transplantation and cellular therapy program, with a longstanding history dating back to 1987. We are home to a robust, multidisciplinary research enterprise in stem cell biology, transplantation, and immunotherapy. Our adult program operates within IU Health and the Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center, while our pediatric efforts are based at Riley Hospital for Children, Indiana’s only dedicated children’s hospital and one of the largest in the country. Our clinical and research activities are anchored by the Brown Center for Immunotherapy, an institutional hub for translational cellular immunotherapy.

Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic physician-scientist to lead our Cellular Therapy Program, overseeing clinical operations, academic initiatives, and translational research in both hematologic malignancies and solid tumors. The Director will provide strategic leadership to expand and enhance our clinical, research, and educational missions. This is a key leadership position, with cross-departmental collaborations and access to robust infrastructure to support innovative investigator-initiated trials, cellular product development, and translational discovery.

Key Responsibilities
•    Provide strategic leadership and oversight for the adult and pediatric cellular therapy programs, spanning both malignant and benign hematologic conditions and solid tumors.
•    Collaborate closely with the Director of Stem Cell Transplantation to maintain FACT accreditation and ensure programmatic excellence.
•    Work in partnership with the Cellular Therapy Laboratory Director to maintain compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
•    Serve as a senior member of the Brown Center for Immunotherapy, fostering integration between research and clinical programs.

The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Indiana University Health and the Indiana University School of Medicine is seeking a Board-Certified Gynecologic Oncologist at the rank of Associate or Full Professor to serve as Division Chief of Gynecologic Oncology. This full-time faculty role leads a growing team of five gynecologic oncologists and three advanced practice providers, with plans for continued expansion. IU Health is Indiana’s premier academic health system and primary referral center, supporting the largest medical school in the nation, a residency program of 10 residents per year, and multiple fellowships, including a pending Gynecologic Oncology fellowship application.

Clinical Environment

The Division Chief will lead efforts in advanced open, robotic, and laparoscopic surgery; chemotherapy; oncology consultation; and access to clinical trials. The division supports multidisciplinary cancer care with radiation oncology, pathology, genomics, social work, patient navigation, palliative care, and other supportive services.

IU School of Medicine offers strong support for research and educational advancement.
