Position Details:

  • Full-time 
  • Weekend night shift (7pm-7am)

  • Work directly with 2 physicians
  • Expected patient volume: 12-15 per night

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides direct clinical services for stable and chronically-ill patients
  • Manages patient care
  • Admits and discharges patients
  • Makes patient rounds
  • Orders and interprets laboratory and diagnostic tests
  • Prescribes medication
  • Plans and coordinates rehabilitation, home health care, and follow-up services for patients with acute health issues
  • Ensures patient confidentiality
  • Mentors and trains subordinate staff

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Round on follow-up patients and new consults
  • Enter orders as needed
  • Collaborate with the social work/care management/other teams for disposition planning 
  • Assist with transition from inpatient to outpatient ID care by coordinating with outpatient clinic staff
  • Arrange follow-up of outpatient IV antibiotics
  • Provide high quality clinical patient care of complex patients in a quaternary care hospital with the possibility of also providing care at a suburban community hospital. 
  • Work with the heart and lung transplant program, mechanical circulatory support program, and IU Health LifeCare in caring for a large population of HIV patients
  • Assist in caring for patients in our bone marrow transplant program
  • Treat a wide variety of common and uncommon ID patients working with the hospitalist, ICU, neurosurgical, cardiovascular, and orthopedic programs within IU Health

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree required
  • PA, FNP, or ACNP certification required
  • If new graduate, clinical rotation or RN experience in Infectious Disease required

The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry team at the only nationally ranked pediatric institution in the state, Riley Hospital for Children, is looking for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join their robust and specialized team.  Providing diagnosis and treatment for children of all ages, the psychiatry and psychology specialists at Riley at IU Health partner with children and their families to evaluate the circumstances and develop a treatment plan to address each child's mental health needs.  Our expert team includes child and adolescent psychiatrists, clinical child psychologists and psychiatric social workers, all focusing on advanced, evidenced-based evaluations and treatments, providing expert care for psychiatric diagnoses and behavior problems.  

Position Details & Responsibilities:

  • Night shift
    • 6pm-6am for a 7-day rotation, followed by 14-days off.

  • Cover overnight activity for the psychiatry department at Riley Hospital, which includes emergency department coverage, admissions, and consultations.
