Riley Hospital for Children is looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our nationally-ranked Pediatric Hematology/Oncology team! 

Our vision is to improve the health of children, adolescents, and young adults with cancer and blood disorders through innovative, quality driven, family-centered care, cutting edge research and the education of current and future leaders.

Position Details:

  • Full-time
  • Rotating schedule
  • Alternating week of day shift and night shift
  • 75% outpatient and 25% inpatient
  • Group includes 30 physicians and 18 advanced practice providers

Key Responsibilities:

  • Primary responsibility will be working in both inpatient and outpatient setting for pediatric hematology/oncology.
  • Manage scheduled chemotherapy patient visits, side effects of treatments, round with on service team. 
  • Perform independent, comprehensive assessments of patients receiving oncology treatments.
  • Act as a resource for residents covering the oncology inpatient service. 
  • Perform procedures in this role including bone marrow biopsies, aspirates, and spinal taps
  • Work collectively with attending, practitioners, and nurses on both the solid tumor and leukemia teams. 
  • Help establish and grow a new role within the division.

Qualifications:

  • ACNP, FNP, PNP, or PA certification required
  • Hematology /Oncology experience as an RN or APP required

Riley Hospital for Children is looking for an Advanced Practice Provider to join our Early Years Program team! Join a great group of staff and providers working together to provide excellent care. 

The Early Years Program provides feeding, growth, and developmental follow-up care to high-risk infants and young children (ages 0-3 years). This includes premature infants, those requiring major surgery in the neonatal period, and those with medical conditions such as congenital heart disease, genetic conditions, feeding problems, or neurologic anomalies. Our clinics are all staffed by a multidisciplinary team, including pediatricians, RN clinic coordinator, registered dietitian, psychologists, social workers, speech therapists and/or physical therapists. Key Responsibilities:

  • This provider will provide outpatient treatment for high-risk infants and young children in our Infant Growth and Development clinics. The provider will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to manage patients' oral, NG, and G-tube feeds, weight gain, and development. The provider will also conduct inpatient consults and/or virtual hospital discharge follow-up visits, to improve our hospital-to-clinic transition.

Minimum Requirements:

  • NNP, PNP, or PA certification required
  • 2 years experience working with high-risk infants and young children with special healthcare needs required
  • The ideal candidate will have clinical experience with high-risk infants and young children in one of the following specialties: Neonatology or Developmental Pediatrics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • This position will be expected to both care for urgent issues, but also fill care gaps in their chronic disease management thus helping the rest of the primary care team meet our quality goals (i.e. addressing preventative care, providing needed immunizations, confirming risk-based diagnoses, etc.)
  • Procedures include suturing and I&Ds

Qualifications:

  • ACNP, FNP, or PA certification required
  • 3 years of primary care or urgent care experience preferred
  • Provider would have some experience providing urgent care, but be familiar with risk-based primary care management and quality health management as this provider will be asked to help the Primary Care group fill these gaps in care when seeing patients.
  • Provider should understand the basics of chronic disease management and diagnostics will be important as provider will initiate a care plan for some new patients.
  • Provider should be familiar with Medicare Annual Wellness visits and how to perform an adequate hospital follow-up evaluation to reduce readmission risk.
  • Provider should have some experience and interest in providing urgent care and being part of a care team where all providers work together managing patients.

Position Details & Responsibilities:

  • Full-time position with strong work/life balance supported by standard weekday schedule with NO weekends and NO call
  • Assist the newly formed Adolescent Addiction Access (AAA) program in providing virtual consultation, assessment and treatment to adolescents with opioid use disorder across the state
  • Float between Riley psychiatric inpatient, consultation-liaison, and emergency room services to support those teams in need
  • Based inside academic department and large academic health center; clinical care of complex patients in this tertiary referral center accompanies teaching a variety of learners and a willingness to participate in clinical research opportunities

Qualifications:

The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry team at the only nationally ranked pediatric institution in the state, Riley Hospital for Children, is looking for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join their robust and specialized team.  Providing diagnosis and treatment for children of all ages, the psychiatry and psychology specialists at Riley at IU Health partner with children and their families to evaluate the circumstances and develop a treatment plan to address each child's mental health needs.  Our expert team includes child and adolescent psychiatrists, clinical child psychologists and psychiatric social workers, all focusing on advanced, evidenced-based evaluations and treatments, providing expert care for psychiatric diagnoses and behavior problems.  

Position Details & Responsibilities:

  • Full-time opportunity
  • Night shift
    • 6pm-6am for a 7-day rotation, followed by 14-days off.
  • No call
  • 100% inpatient
  • Cover overnight activity for the psychiatry department at Riley Hospital, which includes emergency department coverage, admissions, and consultations.
  • Expected weekly volume is 21 ED visits, 7 admissions, and 10 consults.
  • Work directly with 2 physicians

Qualifications:

  • Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) required
  • Background in child & adolescent behavioral health required
  • Indiana licensure or eligible for licensure
  • New graduates or experienced providers encouraged to apply
