  • Provides care for a mixed patient population of all ages
  • Must be comfortable working with advanced providers

Indiana University Health Physicians has an exciting employment opportunity for a Gastroenterologist to join their dynamic group in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana. This role will include outpatient and infrequent inpatient visits at the Springmill Clinic and Saxony Hospital.

Employment Opportunity Details: 

  • Full time 
  • Monday- Friday 8am-5pm
  • Current outpatient patient volume = 32 patients per week
  • Two 2 weeks of inpatients rotations per year
  • Work at the Springmill Clinic and at Saxony, one of IUH's ISR hospitals. Work at Saxony will consist of clinic and procedures
  • Procedures include colonoscopies and EGDs
  • Call schedule includes GI consults and is rotating among other providers in the group

We are seeking a patient-focused Gastroenterologist to collaborate with our highly skilled teams.

Position Details:

Full-time employment (Monday-Friday schedule)

On-Call: 1:6.6

20% Inpatient / 80% Outpatient

Team: 6 Physicians and 3 Advanced Providers

Patient Volume: 460 procedures per month across Bloomington Hospital, Landmark Primary Care and outreach in Bedford and Martinsville

Procedures include: upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, enteroscopy, band ligation, ERCP, EUS, RFA & esophageal motility

Teaching options with 1-4th year medical students on the Bloomington Campus (no fellows or residents currently)

Qualifications:

Candidate must be Board Eligible or Board Certified

Fellowship training required in Gastroenterology

Interested in practicing physicians only
