The Riley at IU Health Child Protection Program is seeking a Child Abuse Pediatrician to join our expert team of board certified providers to provide evidence-based consultation in cases of suspected child maltreatment. With expertise unmatched in Indiana, the Riley at IU Health Child Protection Program offers multidisciplinary clinical services and education to improve the evaluation and care of maltreated children. Our team offers various services, including the evaluation of suspected child abuse/neglect victims, professional consultation for healthcare providers, child protection services, law enforcement and other professionals, crisis counseling for families, expert testimony in legal settings when required, and professional education as the home to one of the few ACGME-accredited child protection fellowship programs in the nation. Additionally, there are a number of specialized child protection programs offered at Riley, such as the Pediatric Center of Hope, Foster Care Bridge Clinic, and Pediatric Evaluation and Diagnostic Services (PEDS) Program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Staffing PEDS cases, record review, court testimony, consultative services 
  • One half day clinic session per week with specialty based on candidate's interest
  • Shared call coverage split amongst division
  • Consult service only, do not provide long term follow-up care
  • Faculty appointment at the Indiana University School of Medicine with the expectation of student and trainee educational activities and scholarly output

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM) in conjunction with IU Health Physicians (IUHP), are recruiting an experienced surgical pathologist to fulfill the role of director of surgical pathology.
The individual selected will be based at the IU Health Central Pathology Laboratory (IUHPL). Anatomic pathology is currently comprised of fifty-four pathologists with a plan for expansion. A team of seven certified pathologists’ assistants and two grossing technicians serve as support to the anatomic pathology faculty; the 10-year turnover rate for these staff is 0%. The ability to recruit and attract top talent to the growing department has been strong over the past 18 months. The ideal candidate will be arriving to a freshly renovated histology and immunohistochemistry labs designed to accommodate the integration of digital pathology. These factors afford our new director of surgical pathology the rare opportunity to build and innovate.

Position Details:

  • Set strategy and policy for surgical pathology
  • Drive change and implement new technologies and practices in the department

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM) in conjunction with IU Health Physicians (IUHP), is seeking highly motivated surgical pathologists to join its expanding faculty.  An area of sub-specialty interest such as breast, heart, lung, soft tissue or hospital-based autopsy is desirable.


The individuals selected will be based at the IU Health Central Pathology Laboratory (IUHPL).  The Pathology team serves 10 hospitals within the IU Health Hospital network, and Eskenazi Health.  Anatomic pathology is currently comprised of 55 pathologists, with this expansion plan adding additional surgical pathologists.  Of the 55 AP faculty, 33 sign-out on the surgical pathology service.

Position Details:

  • Deliver professional diagnostic service comprising of anatomic pathology
  • Provide on-call  coverage and conference support with department faculty members
  • Actively participate in educational activities  with medical students, residents and fellows

Qualifications:

  • Applicants must be certified by the American Board of Pathology in anatomic and clinical pathology

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM) in conjunction with IU Health Physicians (IUHP), is seeking a highly motivated academic hematopathologist to join its expanding faculty. 

The individual selected will be part of the Division of Hematopathology that provides expert diagnostic and consultative services to Indiana University Health (IU Health) which includes Methodist Hospital, Indiana University Hospital, Riley Hospital for Children, IU Health West, IU Health North, IU Health Arnett and a number of smaller hospitals. The division also serves Eskenazi Health and the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center. Once assumed, the incumbent will join a full-time staff of six hematopathologists with sign-out activities based at the IU Health Central Pathology Laboratory (IUHPL). The position is available on either a clinical or tenure track, academic rank determined by qualifications and level of experience.

Position Details:

  • Provide diagnostic services including sign-out of tissue hematopathology, flow cytometry, peripheral blood and fluids, molecular hematopathology and/or coagulation

The PICU has approximately 2500 admissions per year at the downtown campus and admits 500 patients annually at the North campus.
