  • Participate in teaching opportunities with medical students, if desired

  • Lead, manage and direct clinical services provided within the hub, including partnership with the System Health Solutions (SHS) Service Line Administrative Directors for all business operations, assuring IUHP, IUHP Community Medicine, and IU Health Virtual Care Service Line goals are achieved
  • Provide crisis evaluation and consultation to all IU Health ED’s and integrated behavioral services to IU Health primary care practices and other practice settings, where appropriate
  • Act as an ambassador of culture, leading and driving change, including creating an environment that is also compatible with and supportive of the teaching and research missions of the IU School of Medicine
  • Ensure Virtual Care services are high quality, multidisciplinary, comprehensive, coordinated, culturally sensitive, accessible, and delivered with patient experience
  • Manage appropriateness, quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the care delivered by IUHP physicians, advanced practice providers and therapists
  • Collaborate with system leaders to develop and implement delivery clinical policies, guidelines, clinical activities and performance, fiscal and utilization objectives, maintain and enhance the teaching environment, enhance clinical research opportunities and assure compliance with appropriate regulatory, accrediting and credentialing/privileging standards
  • Dedicated time to leadership duties and responses, which includes clinical administrative time
  • Clinical responsibilities with psychiatric patients throughout the lifespan include: 100% virtual, inpatient, consult work with the opportunity to work in a virtual space from home
  • Provide psychiatric consults to 14+ emergency departments, inpatient units and primary care offices throughout the state

Qualifications:

  • BC in Psychiatry
  • Physician licensed in Indiana with good standing or eligible for medical licensure in IN
  • A minimum of three to five years of progressive leadership experience, required
  • Experience in leadership and management, preferred
  • Provider must live in IN or be willing to relocate to IN
