Position Details:

  • Full time opportunity with academic requirements in a suburban location
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, split call amongst large group of general radiologists
  • Referrals from the largest primary care and specialty care practice in Indiana
  • Clinical expertise is desired in plain film radiograph interpretation, body CT imaging, and general ultrasound.  In addition, candidates would be responsible for performing fluoroscopic and routine image-guided body procedures.  Dedicated Interventional Radiologists are present for higher acuity cases.  Neuroradiology, nuclear medicine, breast imaging, and cross-sectional musculoskeletal examinations will be interpreted centrally by subspecialists.

Position Details:

  • Cover a community hospital and complete imaging work
  • Clinical expertise is desired in plain film radiograph interpretation, abdominal and chest CT imaging, and ultrasound.

  • Quality Support Team:

This physician will collaborate with our highly skilled teams at Methodist, Eskenazi, West, North, University and Riley hospitals in the Indianapolis community.

Position Details:

The ideal candidate should be skilled in general radiology—specifically interpretations of body radiography, ultrasound, and CT. Additional types of studies may be available based on the radiologist’s experience, training and preference. This position does not require procedural skills and could be performed remotely, from home.  Shift work is designed to be flexible with possibilities of less frequent full days or more frequent half day shifts—as needed to cover increasing departmental imaging volumes and periods of departmental vacations.  Shifts would most frequently occur on weekdays but some weekend hours may be mutually agreed upon.  Work would be compensated at a competitive hourly rate.

Minimum requirements include DO or MD

  • Radiology board certified or board-eligible.
  • Eligible for licensure in Indiana (and state of residence if remote)

Schedule:

Location:

  • Shifts are mainly performed on-site at the IU Academic Health Center in downtown Indianapolis. However some work-from-home options are also available.  

Position Details:

  • Must be proficient in all imaging modalities, including neuroimaging.   
  • Read images for all of IU region's with a focus on head trauma and ER
  • In addition to clinical work, this position involves teaching trainees.  The Department hosts a robust residency training program.

    • Perform all aspects of spinal surgery and care (including complex instrumented fusion and motion-preservation techniques); preference given to experience in minimally invasive and lateral approaches to the spine, robotic-assisted surgery, and/or adult/pediatric deformity
    • Interdisciplinary approaches to care with APPs, therapists, triage nurses, etc.
    • Multidisciplinary care with pain management specialists, physiatry, orthopaedic spine surgery
  • Practice based at Neuroscience Center/Methodist Hospital in downtown Indianapolis
    • Clinic access points utilized as needed/available in suburban IUH facilities to support the practice (within a 25-mile radius)
    • Work with IU Health system providers to coordinate spinal care for patients throughout the state and provide complex spinal surgical services for IUH
  • Participate in IUH system quality programs
  • Participate in general neurosurgery call

      • As of now, there is limited call which will provide a great work/life balance. Only IP call will be for an urgent pain or wound need relevant to an elective patient the TJ surgeon operates on.
      • Another physician group currently provides internal call coverage in the ED and is responsible for all Ortho Trauma. As the practice grows, a new call rotation will be established.
  • IU Health has strong existing infrastructure and is the region's largest primary care referral base which will help build this practice quickly
