Riley Hospital for Children is looking to grow our program, ranked second in the country by U.S. News & World Report, by addiing a Pediatric Urologist to the team.  Skilled in complex open, endoscopic and robotic urologic surgery, Riley urology surgeons specialize in treating conditions of the pediatric urinary tract (kidneys, ureter, bladder) and genitalia. All of our surgeons are fellowship trained and board certified in pediatric urology and are recognized leaders in the field.

Known for expertise in complex genital reconstruction, Riley at IU Health is designated as a Center of Surgical Excellence for surgical reconstruction for children born with congenital adrenal hyperplasia. Additionally, we are designated by the Association for the Bladder Exstrophy Community as one of 10 international Centers of Excellence for the care of children with bladder exstrophy.  Riley at IU Health has organized multidisciplinary clinics with specialists to assist in managing complex patients, including comprehensive programs to care for patients with spina bifida, stones, prenatal urologic anomalies and differences in sexual development. Providing diagnosis and treatment for children of all ages, the psychiatry and psychology specialists at Riley at IU Health partner with children and families to evaluate the circumstances and develop a treatment plan to address each child's mental health needs.  Our expert team includes child and adolescent psychiatrists, clinical child psychologists and psychiatric social workers.  Focusing on advanced, evidence-based evaluations and treatments, Riley psychiatric specialists provide expert care for psychiatric diagnoses and behavior problems.  These evaluations and treatments include diagnostic evaluation, psychological testing, individual psychotherapy, family therapy and behavior modification, and pharmacotherapy.  

Key  Responsibilities:

  • Faculty appointment includes supervision and teaching of medical students, interns and residents

Position Details:

  • Join a well-established, supportive team at the Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital, as well as the Richard M. Fairbanks Burn Center at Eskenazi Health, a nationally recognized leader in burn care.
  • Full-time, Monday-Friday
  • 100% inpatient work; shared call among faculty
  • Respond to consults from hospitalist, trauma and other inpatient medical teams
  • Supervise and teach medical students, psychiatry residents and C-L fellows
  • Serve as a collaborating physician for the advanced practice providers on the C-L service, including newly added team members
  • Opportunities exist to collaborate with colleagues in ongoing delirium research, early identification of psychiatric need and impact burns on mental health

Qualifications:

  • Residency training in Psychiatry
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry
  • Physician licensed in Indiana or eligible for medical licensure in Indiana
