Position Details:

  • The position will primarily focus on gender affirmation plastic surgery as well as general plastic and reconstructive surgery.

  • Surgical scope includes, but is not limited to, vaginoplasty, phalloplasty, metoidioplasty, masculinizing & feminizing chest surgery, masculinizing & feminizing facial surgery. Microsurgery skills desirable and additional training in gender affirmation surgery preferred but not required.

  • This person must have an interest in serving the transgender community.

  • Appointment on the clinical or tenure track and level to be determined by qualifications and experience.

  • Candidates must be interested in educating both residents and fellows, and have an interest in research and administration.

Qualifications:

  • Candidate must be Board Eligible or Board Certified
  • Interested in current fellows and practicing physicians

We are seeking a patient focused Cardiovascular and Thoracic Transplant Surgeon to join our highly skilled team. This is a great opportunity to work at our Level 1 Trauma center in downtown Indianapolis, which is among the top 10 largest transplant programs nationally. Job Duties:

-Responsible for providing patient care, teaching residents and students in their specialty of CV thoracic transplantation surgery and participating in clinical research.

Basic Qualifications:

- Qualified candidates must have M.D., or equivalent education

- Completed a thoracic surgery fellowship

- Be board certified/eligible in Surgery

- Must be able to provide Clinical education centering around complex heart and lung transplant, VAD, and ECMO procedures

- Collaborate and successfully interact with a multi-disciplinary team to promote high-quality patient outcomes.

- Requires excellent interpersonal skills and clear written and verbal communication skills.


Location: Indianapolis, IN - Specialty: Surgery, Trauma

We are searching for a new Division Chief for Acute Care Surgery, one of eight divisions in the Department of Surgery at Indiana University School of Medicine. Faculty from the Division of Acute Care Surgery provide trauma, critical care, and emergency general surgery care for the two Level I trauma centers on the IU Campus. The Division Chief would also be Chief of Trauma at IU health Methodist Hospital, a trauma program that sees approximately 3700 trauma admissions annually. The second Level I trauma center on the campus, the Eskenazi Health Hospital, is a county hospital that sees 1700 trauma patients annually with a rate of penetrating trauma approaching 40%. The Division of Acute Care Surgery currently has 20 full time faculty.

Surgeons will be working in an academic hospital and affiliated community hospitals in the Indiana University Health network. The Indiana University Health Physicians network is one of the premier tertiary centers in the state of Indiana.

Candidates will be responsible for providing patient care, teaching residents and students in their specialty of trauma surgery and participating in clinical research in one of the largest medical schools in the country.
