Location: Indianapolis, IN - Specialty: Physicist

The Department of Radiation Oncology at Indiana University School of Medicine has an opening for Chief of Clinical Physics position in downtown Indianapolis. This is a full-time clinical faculty position in clinical radiation therapy physics.

A Masters or PhD in medical physics or related discipline is required, in addition to a minimum of five years of clinical experience in radiation oncology physics. Prior managerial experience in a clinical setting is highly desired.  The candidate must be qualified to practice as a Physicist in Radiation Oncology and be certified by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Radiological Physics.

The position reports to the Vice Chair of Physics. Candidate will lead a team of physicists and dosimetrists to provide physics support clinical efforts, and will participate in program, facility, and technology development. The candidate will perform the daily duties of a clinical medical physicist and participate in clinical physics research projects with students and staff. He/she will also participate in medical physics professional activities, to include continuing education and maintenance of certification. The candidate will also be expected to contribute to education/training of medical and medical physics residents, and students/

This position is responsible for overseeing clinical physics services for 5 hospital based radiation oncology departments and 1 outpatient facility. Services include EBRT/SBRT, brachytherapy, GammaKnife SRS, TBI/TMI, IORT. The candidate will also:

  • Develop project plans and management for new radiation oncology facilities and services including shielding design and construction
  • Act as direct contact with vendors to negotiate equipment purchases, and manage hardware and software service contracts for treatment planning and delivery, QA equipment, and instrumentation
  • Oversee regulatory compliance with Indiana State Department of Health for radiation producing machines, and liaise with IU Radiation Safety for NRC compliance of radioactive materials broad scope license
  • Maintain/establish physics aspects of Oncology Practice Accreditation and coordinate efforts with dosimetry/therapy/nursing/RO/admin etc.
  • Participate in Radiation Safety and radioactive drug research meetings for IU School of Medicine, and lead the department's CQI effort 
  • Manage physics remote and physical coverage schedules

About the department:

  • IU's Radiation Oncology faculty includes 13 clinical physicists, 14 radiation oncologists and 3 full-time researchers. Educational programs include a residency program and a radiation therapy B.S. degree program.

Key  Responsibilities:

The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry team at Riley Hospital for Children is seeking a Clinical Child Psychologist to join their robust and dynamic team in downtown Indianapolis.  

Riley at IU Health psychiatry and psychology specialists diagnose and treat children of all ages.  Our expert team of child and adolescent psychiatrists, clinical child psychologists and psychiatric social workers partners with children and families to develop a treatment plan to address each child's mental health needs.  Working in outpatient, hospital-based and emergency department settings, our clinicians focus on evidence-based evaluations and treatments to provide expert care for psychiatric diagnoses and behavior problems.  

Position Details:

  • Work-life balance supported by standard weekly schedule and no call responsibilities
  • Perform both individual psychotherapy and family therapy in outpatient setting at the Primary Care Center (75%) and SUD telehealth visits and research in the Encompass program (25%)
  • Faculty appointment with the Indiana University School of Medicine includes teaching and supervision of clinical psychology students and research opportunities with the Encompass program

The Department of Psychiatry at Indiana University School of Medicine is seeking to fill an immediate opening for a full-time clinical track Assistant Professor position in the area of Pediatric Psychology, specializing in psychological evaluation and treatment of children and adolescents in the Riley Hospital for Children burn program.

  • Responsibilities will consist of evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of children and adolescents on an inpatient burn unit and treatment program at Riley Hospital for Children

Qualifications:
