We are seeking a Noninvasive Cardiologist to collaborate with our highly skilled team at IU Health Arnett in the collegiate city of Lafayette, IN. A culture where clinical excellence is expected.

Position Details: 

  • New outpatient offices are attached to the modern IU Health Arnett Hospital (191 bed facility)
  • Join an established team of 8 cardiologists and 3 nurse practitioners
  • Collaborate with CardioThoraic surgeons in one office location
  • Help grow a strong cardiac program with opportunities for community outreach
  • Strong, built in referral base
  • Opportunities for leadership and teaching
  • Providers are supported by department staff and engaged in ongoing quality improvement projects

Key Responsibilities:

  •  Rotating inpatient hospital schedule with consult and non-invasive service
  • Shared call, approximately 1:6
  • Treatment and medical management of CHR, CAD, Arrhythmias and CV Surgery

Qualifications:

  • Requires MD/DO,  Eligible for Indiana Medical License
  • US Board Certified in Cardiology, Internal Medicine BC/BE
  • Licensed in Indiana or eligible for medical licensure in Indiana   
  • Consistent and consecutive employment or training history 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Significant experience in clinical program development and leadership preferred
  • Ability to provide high quality patient care

Position Details:

  • Serve as the on-site clinical leader and supervisor while developing and coordinating the clinical service that assures a multidisciplinary, comprehensive, patient-oriented approach to healthcare.
  • Represent the clinical department, serve as a liaison to the medical staff, work with the Academic Chair, the CMO, and Nursing and Administrative leadership to develop and implement clinical policies and regulatory guidelines
  • Assess clinical activities and performance, monitor and attain fiscal and utilization objectives
  • Maintain knowledge of The Joint Commission standards and guidelines, as well as federal program and state licensure agreement standards

Board Certified or Board Eligible in EM required, clinical leadership experience preferred
