Job Description:

  • Supplemental, PRN position, weekday and weekend shifts included
  • 90% inpatient/10% outpatient 
  • Position includes trauma, emergency general surgery and surgical care of ICU patients

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree Required
  • Must be an ACNP or PA
  • At least one year of experience as a PA or NP in an inpatient/critical care setting or Emergency Department is required 
  • Individual sought must have great attention to detail, be incredibly thorough and be able to keep up with the quick pace of assessment and documentation with a very critical patient population

Position Details & Responsibilities:

  • Full-time position with strong work/life balance supported by standard weekday schedule with NO weekends and NO call
  • Assist the newly formed Adolescent Addiction Access (AAA) program in providing virtual consultation, assessment and treatment to adolescents with opioid use disorder across the state
  • Float between Riley psychiatric inpatient, consultation-liaison, and emergency room services to support those teams in need
  • Based inside academic department and large academic health center; clinical care of complex patients in this tertiary referral center accompanies teaching a variety of learners and a willingness to participate in clinical research opportunities
  • Our advanced providers enjoy collaborative, team-based care and run the premiere clinical programs in the state

Qualifications:

  • Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) only
  • Background in child and adolescent psychiatry preferred
  • Ideal candidate will have addiction experience but not required
  • Buprenorphine prescribing is required for this role so either current licensure or ability to obtain once hired
  • Training in psychiatric care from an accredited program
