The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Indiana University School of Medicine and IU Health Physicians seeks a pathologist with strong diagnostic skills in surgical pathology and cytopathology to fill this clinical track position at our IU Health Arnett Location in Lafayette, Indiana. IU Health Arnett is part of the 17-hospital IU Health Laboratory System served by over 70 pathologists.  Although based in Lafayette this position will have access to the expertise of the subspecialized pathologists operating out of the department’s clinical headquarters at the 150,000 square foot IU Health Central Pathology Laboratory in Indianapolis. Being a part of the expansive IU Health Laboratory system affords the ideal candidate the ability to practice in a community environment with the support of the enriched environment created by an academic pathology practice. 

Preference will be given to candidates with at least 5 years’ experience and an interest in laboratory administration. The applicant must be board certified in AP/CP and have at least three years of experience. Applicants must also be qualified for licensure in the state of Indiana. Academic rank will be determined by qualifications and level of experience.

Location: Indianapolis, IN - Specialty: Pediatric, Adolescent Medicine

Make a difference in the lives of our kids and their families at the only nationally ranked pediatric institution in the state, Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis, Indiana!  We are seeking a board certified/eligible adolescent medicine physician to join our collaborative team and Indiana University School of Medicine faculty member to provide patient care and serve as a clinician educator.  Riley at IU Health Adolescent Medicine is one of the largest and most active divisions of its kind in the nation for clinical care, research and training.  Dedicated to the care and treatment of young people up to age 21, our fellowship-trained physicians, experienced in caring for the special needs of teenagers and young adults, treat a variety of adolescent health conditions, from eating disorders and reproductive health to sports injuries.  Enjoy being a part of a larger multidisciplinary practice as the adolescent medicine team routinely works with other Riley specialties, including cardiology, hematology, oncology, child development, diabetes, endocrinology, and pediatric/adolescent gynecology. 

Position Details:

  • Work-life balance with a standard schedule of Monday-Friday and NO weekends
  • Outpatient work at the Pediatric Care Center 
  • Consult services during shared call coverage at Riley Hospital for Children
  • Provide specialized care based on interests, including but not limited to:
    • Charis Center for Eating Disorders - the state's most comprehensive program offering the full array of medical, psychological and family services for patients with eating disorders
    • Riley Gender Health Program - the only program in Indiana to meet the needs of transgender and gender non-binary children and adolescents
    • Adolescent Gynecology & Reproductive Healthcare - our specialists evaluate and treat a variety of gynecological conditions as well as consulting with patients and families about fertility perservation for adolescents with complex illnesses

Qualifications:

  • Adolescent Medicine fellowship required
  • New graduates or experienced physicians 
  • Physician MD/DO licensed in Indiana or eligible for medical licensure in Indiana
  • Board Eligible/Board Certified in Pediatrics
