IU Health Fort Wayne currently employs 20+ primary care physicians and other providers at our urgent cares in Fort Wayne. As part of our strategic development in northeast Indiana, we will open a new multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center in Fort Wayne in 2021. Job Description:

  • General Orthopaedic Surgeon 
  • 100% Outpatient
  • Schedule:
    • Fulltime 
    • 4 (10 hour shifts). No weekend responsibilities. 
    • Very limited outpatient call 
  • Patient population: Strong mix of general ortho and sports
  • Approximately 80 patients per week
  • Estimated 8-12 procedures performed per week

    • See patients with general orthopedic issues, acute and chronic while building your foot/ankle practice
    • Procedures: All foot/ankle procedures (replacements, fusions, tendon/ligament reconstruction/repair, etc.)
    • Conditions treated will focus specifically on those that need surgical care.
    • Provider will join a collaborative team around foot and ankle care, consisting of Orthopedic Advanced Practice Providers, Primary Care Sports Physicians, Podiatry, Plastics and Vascular.

Responsibilities in this role include providing oversight and mentorship of the pediatric neurosurgical faculty for clinical quality, professional development and scientific rigor, working with the Neuroscience Institute leadership and the Chair to grow programs and conduct outreach inside and outside of the state and region and potentials for leadership roles and/or a joint appointment as Vice Chair for Education, Vice Chair for Research, or Vice Chair for Quality for the Department should the candidate have this interest.

Join our Neurosurgery Team with an academic Spine Neurosurgery position at Indiana University Health, IU Health Physicians, & IU School of Medicine. Perform all aspects of spinal surgery with peripheral nerve interest and care (including complex instrumented fusion and motion-preservation techniques); preference given to experience in minimally invasive and lateral approaches to the spine, robotic-assisted surgery, and/or adult/pediatric deformity. 

Interdisciplinary approach to care with APPs, therapists, triage nurses, etc. and multidisciplinary care with pain management specialists, physiatry, orthopaedic spine surgery. Clinic access points utilized as needed in suburban facilities to support the practice (within a 25-mile radius).
