Key Responsibilities:

  • Under the supervision of the Clinical APP director and department leadership, assists with daily supervision of operational and personnel activities of assigned department APPs
  • Oversees adherence to the organization policies and proper communication to and involvement of direct reports
  • Supports/assists with bi-directional flow of information between the APP team in respect to operational activities and issue resolution in collaboration with the APP Clinical director, department administrators, and physician leadership
  • Promotes a healthy culture of teamwork and collaboration
  • Participates in workforce development by participating in recruitment, selection, and hiring of APPs within the service line
  • Works to maintain and enhance APP morale and a positive work environment to actively promote the retention of APPs
  • Provides mentoring, coaching, and constructive feedback for APP growth and development
  • Directly supervises APP colleagues.
  • Promotes the appropriateness, quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the clinica care provided by IUHP APP providers in all care environments
  • Helps identify inappropriate practice variations and unnecessary use of clinical resources in patient care
  • Identifies barriers to efficient patient care and works to overcome those barriers.
  • Supports patient experience and access initiatives
  • Participates in the development and implementation of service line based clinical protocols, policies, and procedures. Identifies continuing professional education needs for APPs.

Location: Mooresville, IN - Specialty: Nurse Practitioner, Primary Care

IU Health Metro Region is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner to join our collegial and supportive Family Medicine team in Mooresville!

Position Details:

  • Full-time 
  • Monday-Friday 
    • 2 hours outside of 8am-5pm required
    • 36 patient facing hours/week, 10% of that is flex time
  • No weekends, holidays, or call
  • Expected patient volume is ~60-70/week
    • Both established and new patients
    • Includes same-day visits

IU Health Medical Group South Region is hiring! We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our Hospice/Palliative Care team at the Hospice House in Bloomington, Indiana.

IU Health Palliative Care is focused on improving quality of life while dealing with a serious illness and providing personalized care that is focused on the patient, not just their disease, supporting care goals through pain and symptom management, spiritual and psychosocial counseling and assistance in advance care planning.  We aim to support the patient and their loved ones. 

Position Details:

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm - (rounding within 24 hours of admission) 
  • Provide clinical consults with patient/family members and occasional phone consults (as needed) 
  • Hospice House average 10 patients per week 
  • Home visits average 5-7 patients per week (counties include Monroe, Brown, Owen, Lawrence, Orange and Greene)
  • Key responsibilities include: end of life care, medication management, H&P/clinical notes and symptom control
  • Clinical team includes one collaborating Physician; Dr. Brad Bomba and 6 Advanced Practice Providers

Documentation and charting will be completed in Homecare Homebase (HCBH). On-site training will be provided.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold FNP certification
  • APP Experience in Palliative or Hospice Care is required
