Position Highlights:

  • Practice with an established group of Anesthesiologists within the anesthesia care team model

  • No call required
  • Combination of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities
  • Procedures include: orthopedics, ENT, healthy pediatrics, GYN, neuro, general surgery, urology, plastics, reconstructive and vascular
  • Obstetric coverage not initially expected
  • Participation in the growth of the anesthetist profession at the institution and beyond

Qualifications:

Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant:

  • Must have graduated with a Master’s degree from a CAAHEP accredited Anesthesiologist Assistant Program
  • Must have passed the Certifying Examination for Anesthesiologist Assistants or the CDQ examination (administered by NCCAA in collaboration with the National Board of Medical Examiners) and hold a current certification
  • Must hold current ACLS and PALS certifications

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist:

  • Must have graduated from Master’s level Nurse Anesthesia program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA)
  • Must have passed the National Certification Examination (NCE) (administered by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists) and hold a current certification from the Council of Certification of Nurse Anesthetists

IU Health Dermatology specializes in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of a wide range of skin problems and diseases. We offer comprehensive services for acute and chronic skin disorders, including emergency consultations, complete diagnostic evaluations, the latest therapy options and coordinated, long-term care. Our highly skilled, board certified dermatologists treat a variety of skin conditions such as:  acne, drug rashes, aging skin, moles, atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, contact dermatitis and warts.

Position Details:

  • Serve as the on-site clinical leader and supervisor while developing and coordinating the clinical service that assures a multidisciplinary, comprehensive, patient-oriented approach to healthcare.
  • Represent the clinical department, serve as a liaison to the medical staff, work with the Academic Chair, the CMO, and Nursing and Administrative leadership to develop and implement clinical policies and regulatory guidelines
  • Assess clinical activities and performance, monitor and attain fiscal and utilization objectives
  • Maintain knowledge of The Joint Commision standards and guidelines, as well as federal program and state licensure agreement standards

Qualifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible in EM required, clinical leadership experience preferred
