IU Health Ball Memorial Physicians is hiring a Nurse Practitioner to join our team-oriented Hospitalist practice at Blackford Hospital in Hartford City, IN!

Position Details:

  • Full-time 
  • Day shift (7am-7pm)
  • 7 on / 7 off
  • 100% inpatient
  • No call
  • Work directly with 1 physician
  • Medical to progressive level of care 
  • Rural critical access hospital

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides direct clinical services for stable and chronically-ill patients
  • Manages patient care
  • Admits and discharges patients
  • Makes patient rounds
  • Orders and interprets laboratory and diagnostic tests
  • Prescribes medication
  • Plans and coordinates rehabilitation, home health care, and follow-up services for patients with acute health issues
  • Ensures patient confidentiality
  • Mentors and trains subordinate staff

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree required
  • One year of acute care NP experience required
  • Will accept, ACNP, AGNP, and FNP

Hartford City is located in east central Indiana in Blackford County. Hartford City is about 40 miles west of Interstate 75 and 10 miles east of Interstate 69. Hartford City is very close to Ball State University in Muncie, Taylor University in Upland, Indiana Wesleyan in Marion and IVY Tech in both Marion and Muncie.

You will find Hartford City has many fine parks. Recreational facilities are plentiful. Baseball, softball, football and soccer are all available to boys and girls from T-Ball age level on.
